The local area boasts a wealth of local attractions for all the family whatever your interests may be.

You can enjoy the wonderful views whilst taking a Steam train ride on the much loved north Norfolk Railway alighting at Sheringham station you can stop off at Weybournes picturesque station on your journey to the north Norfolk railway newly renovated Holt station. Visits to the National Trust properties of Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are a must where you can spend the whole day exploring the houses, gardens and parks. Norfolk also boasts a very strong association with the Royal family. Sandringham House, which is one of the three permanent residence of Queen Elizabeth II, is open to the public at certain times of the year (please check opening times on the official web site). Bird watching on the north Norfolk coast is especially popular and Sheringham is an area that is also well know for it's wildlife reserves. If however golf is your passion, Marjorie cottage is ideally situated for Sheringham golf club. Sheringham is just a two and half hour journey by train from London and there are also good road links to and from all regions. European sea ports are also close by making it an easy destination to reach from Germany and the Benelux countries.
