Marjorie Cottage has proven to be popular with those seeking clean, comfortable and well equipped self catering accommodation in Sheringham. As soon as you open the door and see exposed beams, a wood burner and traditional fireplaces throughout, we are sure you will agree this will be a truly home from home holiday. 

The property was awarded an English Tourism Council Three Star Rating for Self catering properties in July 2001.

Marjorie cottage will comfortably accommodate four guests and a baby. The property is tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard.

The cottage comprises of a hallway leading to the lounge which is a comfortable cosy room. Centre piece of the room is the Victorian fireplace, with three piece suite, colour TV, SKY TV, VCR and DVD Player. A selection of Videos, DVD's, books and magazines are all provided for your enjoyment.

For our younger guests we have a selection of toys, books and videos for their enjoyment

The hallway also leads to the dining room which is dominated by the original Norfolk Red bricked fire place with wood burner and exposed wooden beams. This provides a comfortable and pleasurable surrounding in which you can enjoy meals at the table which seats four people. A high chair is also provided for our younger guests.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms

The master bedroom is very spacious and features exposed beams and the original Victorian fireplace. The bedroom is thoughtfully furnished with matching pine wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing table and double bed.

A remote control colour TV and hair dryer have been provided for your comfort.

For our younger guest a travel cot and stair gate have been provided for convenience and safety.  

The second bedroom again features exposed beams and the original Victorian fireplace. The bedroom is furnished with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and double bed.

Both bedrooms have been tastefully decorated. Matching bed linen is provided at no additional cost to our guest.

The bathroom is fully tiled and consists of a bath with hand held Victorian shower, basin with separate WC. We have supplied a potty for the convenience and comfort of our younger guests.

Each room is heated by night storage heater. Guests that have stayed at the cottage have frequently commented that they felt comfortable and cosy. The cost of the heating is included in the rental. However we do make a small charge for the cost of the logs and fuel when using the wood burning stove.

Please take a note if you are elderly or infirm, that the stairs leading to the first floor are slightly steeper than stairs found in modern properties. You may therefore wish to consider this prior to booking Marjorie Cottage.

Parking is available outside the property on the public road. However please be assured that this is a quiet avenue which is only subject to light and occasional traffic.

Please Note: Regrettably under the terms and conditions of our insurance providers we cannot allow our guests to smoke inside the property. Unfortunately we do not allow pets.
